however, you can walk in for a consultation or book an appointment.

Do you do cover-ups and fixes?

We do offer cover-ups and fixes but it all depends on what your existing tattoo is and

what you want to cover it with. Some tattoos are easily covered up and others can be
more difficult to work with. Before deciding if we can cover a tattoo we will need to see
your original tattoo.

Aftercare

What if my tattoo gets infected?

If you follow all your aftercare advice, the chances of your tattoo becoming infected are
very slim. If you suspect your tattoo is infected, get in touch with your artist and they will
be able to differentiate an infected tattoo from the normal healing process.

Will my tattoo fade?

Time can affect everything, even your tattoo. But with proper care, you can minimise
fading and keep your tattoo looking great for many years to come.

What is the aftercare for my new tattoo?

Your artist will take you through aftercare steps after your appointment. In most cases, a
tattoo will take a few weeks to heal and in the meantime, it should be treated like a
sunburn or a scrape. The covering your artist places on the tattoo should be left on for
several hours at least, as this helps keep out bacteria. Once the covering is removed,
wash the area with warm water and preferably a natural, non-scented soap. It’s best to
use your bare hands for this, and not anything else that might aggravate your skin. You
can definitely shower with a new tattoo, avoid hot tubs and swimming pools.

Do I need to protect my tattoo from the sun?

When you have just had a new tattoo, the protective outer layer of your skin has been
damaged, leaving your sensitive layer exposed to any radiation from the sun. Even older
tattoos need to be protected from the sun as this helps prevent the tattoo from fading.

Do you charge a fee to design a custom tattoo?

Pain

Any advice on dealing with the pain of getting a tattoo?

Getting a decent night’s sleep always helps, try and eat a proper meal the day of your
tattoo, and try to stay calm while being tattooed. Everyone handles the pain differently,
different parts of the body can hurt more or less depending on the area, but most of the
time people find the pain to be less than they imagined.

Which parts of the body does it hurt the most to get tattooed?

The pain can be different for each individual person. Areas, where the skin rests close to
the bone (the clavicle, some people’s ribs, etc.) tend to hurt more.

Can I use some kind of painkiller before getting a tattoo?

Unfortunately no. Most painkillers act as blood thinners, which can mean that you bleed
easier, which in turn makes your skin harder to tattoo.

Health and Safety

Do you properly dispose of contaminated materials?

Yes. We take cleanliness very seriously.

How do you sterilise your instruments?
Lots of the instruments we use to tattoo are single-use only and are disposed of once
they have been used. All of the surfaces and areas we use during the tattoo process are
cleaned thoroughly with an antibacterial solution or sterilised between uses.

What is the minimum age you need to be to get a tattoo done?

18 is the minimum age you need to be to have a tattoo in the UK. In some cases, you
may need to provide proof of your age, so it would be wise to bring your I.D with you just
in case.

Do you use brand new needles?

Yes. 100%. Every time.

Numbing Cream

Does numbing cream work?

Yes, it most defiantly does. Tattoo numbing cream is a unique formula that ensures deep numbness up to five hours after applying. Every day 1,000s of people apply the cream before getting a tattoo to ensure a completely pain-free session.

How do you use numbing cream?

It’s easy to use tattoo numbing cream. Depending on the procedure to be done, ie a large or small tattoo all depends on the length of time you leave the numbing cream on before the procedure. Let’s say your getting a large tattoo requiring a 4 hour sit down session. In this case, you apply a thick layer of tattoo numbing cream to the required area then cover it in cling film and up to an hour before the procedure, the will ensure the ultimate ‘deep numbing’ for up to 5 hours.

Is it bad to put numbing cream on before a tattoo?

No. When applied correctly tattoo numbing cream is highly effective, totally eliminating any pain and so allowing the tattoo artist to comfortably carry on with his work without you flinching or having to take too many breaks.

How long does numbing cream last for tattoos?

3 – 5 hours depending on the type of tattoo numbing cream used and the length go time its allowed to sink into the skin before the procedure starts.
